Flex-Z 1.0-6.0 is a release agent system for polyester productions, offering four different levels of release power. This allows you to flexibly adjust the release level – the top layer simply determines the release level. We recommend applying two layers of “Granudan Sealer GP” when starting with Flex-Z. The product should be applied and not wiped off. It cures quickly.
This product can also be sprayed on (see our selection of HVLP spray solutions).
It is particularly well-suited for moldings within the marine, sports equipment, swimming pools, and spa industries.

Description
Flex-Z is a unique flexible release system that allows control over the demolding process in a way that hasn’t been possible before. Clearly identified products, coded by number and color, allow molders to apply the level of release performance needed throughout an entire mold, or in each specific area of a mold or process
- FLEX-Z 1.0: Minimum Release – Prevents pre-release and enhances adhesion from tapes.
- FLEX-Z 3.0: Low/Medium Release – Standard choice for large molds and flat areas. Ideal for occasional areas with pre-release issues.
- FLEX-Z 4.0: Medium/High Release – The “workhorse” – When in doubt, start here.
- FLEX-Z 6.0: Extra High Release – For challenges during difficult demolding or on edges.
The short curing times between applications also allow for faster and easier mold preparation. Depending on the mold, a full “base” coat is applied (e.g., Flex-Z 3.0 or Flex-Z 4.0), after which the release effect is adjusted on top of this layer. Flex-Z products are also excellent cleaners and can be used to remove dirt, sealants, profiles, and dust particles from the mold after demolding.
